Bárbara de La Vega Justribó is a distinguished researcher and academic whose work has had a significant impact both in Spain and internationally. Her career is characterised by a thematic diversity that ranges from maritime law, her most consolidated line of research, to emerging areas such as industrial property and corporate social responsibility, with a special focus on sustainability. De la Vega has enriched the field of commercial law with her pioneering analysis of gender, becoming an authoritative voice at conferences and scientific committees around the world.

Her research work has not only resulted in a series of influential publications in prestigious publishing houses such as Tirant lo Blanch and Thomson Reuters Aranzadi, but she has also directed and co-directed doctoral theses, expanding critical knowledge in her fields of expertise thanks to the funding obtained. In addition, she has co-directed with Miguel Ruiz Muñoz the International Business Law Seminar at UC3M, focused on corporate social responsibility, collaborative economy and legal compliance, consolidating this event for a decade.

In 2019, De la Vega was awarded the prestigious I3 certificate, reflecting her exceptional research career evaluated by CNEAI criteria.
