Graduate in Sociology-International Relations and Expert in Development from the Complutense University of Madrid. Currently studying a master’s degree in Strategies and Technologies for Development between the Complutense University and the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Academically, she has a deep interest in international cooperation for sustainable development, especially relations between the EU and the Latin American and Caribbean region.
She has been a collaborator of the Spanish Federal Council of the European Movement, period in which he co-managed several Erasmus + projects. She was part of the organising team of the European Youth Event Santander in 2022 and representative of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in the European Student Assembly 2024. Previously, she has also been a European project writer for the association Estrellas del Sur. She is currently a fellow at the think tank on cooperation and the global south GATE Center.
Paula García is author and co-author of chapters for books on the European Union (Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union: proposals from civil society, Catarata; Russian aggression against Ukraine and its consequences for the relaunching of the European Union, UPV/EHU). She has also published several analytical and opinion articles in the magazine Europa en Movimiento, see Joint and Effective Response to the Russian Invasion of Ukraine: The EU as Guardian of World Food Security.
