SPECIALIZED SEMINARS
Master classes in interdisciplinary research
(Coordinated with the Jean Monnet PromethEUs Chair)

The intensive classes give participants from UC3M, and other universities in Spain and Europe, access to leading experts working on EU governance using interdisciplinary approaches, methods and techniques. These intensive seminars have a deeper impact on the interdisciplinary and methodological training of the students, as they continue to develop the competencies and skills acquired in the bachelor’s and master’s degree courses on the European Union. The seminars are designed to give students the opportunity to work in an applied way with interdisciplinary research questions and on how to plan and execute an original project based on EU governance that combines different disciplines and research techniques such as interviews, surveys and other empirical methodologies. As a result, students learn how to implement an interdisciplinary research design, how to distinguish between methodologies, and how to identify and choose research methods relevant to their main research topic(s) in governance and EU studies.
